Preparing For Your Upcoming Dermal Filler Appointment

This blog is to help clients prepare for their upcoming treatment.  I understand that I do this every day so it is commonplace for me.  But, for our clients, it is often a new experience and something you may have questions about.  This is why we send an email prior to your treatment.  Our aim is to help better inform you of your upcoming visit at our clinic.

 Kindly give us a minimum of 48 hours notice should you need to cancel or change your appointment.  
 
Please arrive on the day of your appointment with a clean face; free of any lotions and or makeup even eye makeup. We recommend showing up about 10 minutes prior to your appointment time so that you can fill out your necessary treatment consents and for us to review your medical history.     
 
After consents are signed a member of the team will take your pictures to document the skin’s health and appearance pre-treatment. Once the pictures are completed; a numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area and you will wait for the numbing to take effect. This process can be about 45 minutes. A member of our team will then wash the treated area while removing the numbing cream. Once you are prepped and ready; Tara will then begin your treatment which will take about 20 minutes.     
    
Pre-Treatment Instructions
  • NO Dental work 2 weeks pre or post treatment
  • Bring a hair tie to full your hair back from your face 
  • Take Arnica tabs to minimize bruising 
  • The healthier you eat the better all around you feel ill, or are fevered; you must reschedule your appointment 
  • If you are having your lips done, please brush your teeth prior to arriving to the facility in order to decrease the amount of bacteria in your mouth.

My name is Tara and I am the owner of Delle Chiaie Cosmetic Medicine. I have been in medicine since 2002 as a Registered Nurse. In 2011 I graduated from the accelerated program at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and immediately became nationally recognized through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. I grew up in the beauty industry and found it was a great union to blend beauty with medicine. I have an astute sense of safety, while my experience guides my practice to produce beautiful and natural results. My goal is to continually fine-tune the art of bringing one’s inner beauty to the surface.
