botox® Is A Wonderful Drug For Reducing Wrinkles!
As common as the name Botox® is; there is still much confusion around what it actually is. So, let’s get to understanding this amazing drug! Botulinum toxin-A (BoNT-A) is a collective name for neuromodulators and there are several neuromodulators on the market such as Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®. As you read through the different websites and blogs you may note some use the term neuromodulator and another neurotoxin. The terms neuromodulator and neurotoxin can be used interchangeably. Yet, Botox®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®, and Dysport® may not be used interchangeably both in the literature and in the clinical application of the drug.
No matter what drug is utilized they are all responsible for minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. The drug will be injected by a licensed provider and then by day 3-5 you will start to notice some reduction of movement in the treated area. By 2 weeks the drug has taken full effect and at which time little tweaks can be made by your licensed provider.
